| dc.description.abstract | As part of my research for this comic project based on the Mahabharata and Ramayana, I studied Amar Chitra Katha (ACK)—a well-known and traditional comic series launched in 1967 by Anant Pai. ACK was created to make Indian mythology and history more accessible to young readers, particularly those in urban areas and the Indian diaspora, through English-language storytelling. My goal in studying ACK was to understand why it became so iconic and how it continues to resonate with readers today. | en_US |
