| dc.description.abstract | Autism caregiving in India lies at the intersection of health, education, disability rights, and informal family labor. The rise in autism diagnoses has brought attention to neurodevelopmental disorders, but the systems supporting autistic children and their caregivers remain fragmented and often inaccessible. While clinical therapy and special education are concentrated in urban areas, the burden of day-to-day caregiving overwhelmingly falls on parents especially mothers without formal recognition, structured guidance, or technological tools tailored to their needs. | en_US |
