Abstract

India’s economy has scripted a remarkable story over the past decade and has emerged as an epitome of stability and opportunity. As is well understood, the current challenging geopolitical environment has resulted in the global economy slowing down in the midst of recession given weak housing markets, high oil prices and sluggish lending. However, the fear of a hard landing has slightly abated with some of the advanced economies focussing on well-calibrated monetary policies to bring inflation to targets, while minimising the impact on growth.
